As always, lovely to hear from you Sue. Your piece is as inspiring as ever.

I found myself with a weekend to myself this weekend, so Friday evening I attacked my wardrobe, putting anything I didn't like any more or didn't fit into a bag for charity. Then Saturday I went shopping, only to come back with next to nothing!! All I found were cheep, poorly made, clothing. I wanted a jacket and knew I didn't want fussy and wanted something to throw on over anything, that would look casually me. Everything I found was cropped and showed my menopause tummy off to a tee!! No thanks! Ah well back to the drawing board, I'm not settling for anything that doesn't bring me me joy. A very wise woman taught me that 😊💕

Loved reading this and particularly what inspired you to write it. Clothes do reflect our state of mind and what we feel about ourselves. I know that comfort is key as is fit. As a recovering anorexic, I don’t want to try and change my body to fit in with a supposed cultural norm. I tried to disappear instead of owning my body shape and feeling grateful. Now I wear clothes that I like and which reflect who I am. Before, I used to dream of being thin and saw it as a way of feeling more confident and more accepted. How wrong I was. They only saw the anorexic and she wasn’t me! Now I work at being me and that puts me in a much healthier place.

I really resonate with your comments here. They only saw the anorexic - not the real me. I hadn’t thought of that but, looking back, it’s exactly what people saw when I was in the room. How wise of you to put this into context. I am really glad that both of us can put this behind us and celebrate fully who we are.

‘What do you want the world to know about you right now’. What a wise teacher indeed

Sue, brilliant as usual. The formula is great and works every time. Thank you for all you've taught me in training and application. I truly feel comfortable in my own skin and my clothing reflects it.
